Setting your baselines, understanding the science, and building the habits and support system you'll carry through the next 12 months. This month is about orientation — not perfection.
The four weekly lessons below unlock one at a time. Each comes with a short reflection prompt — write your answer somewhere before moving on. The reflection is the part that makes the learning stick.
One call a month, open to everyone currently in reMYnd regardless of which month you're working through. Most of the time the best conversations come from mixing fresh participants with people further along. Come with a question, come to listen, come to share what's working — all three count.
Each month we dig into one of these in the 25-minute block. The topic is announced by email with the call link — so you'll know in advance whether it's something you want to attend, or whether you'd rather wait for next month's.
Bring an honest question rather than a polished one. The answers that help most come from real friction — what you actually tried, what actually happened, what you're genuinely unsure about. Recording uploaded within 48 hours if you can't make it live.
Your Month 1 exercise program is loaded in Trainerize — choose gym or home, and beginner or intermediate-advanced. The program progresses across 4 weeks with a deload in Week 4. Each session includes your Phase 1 dual-task cognitive challenge.
This month is not about overhauling your diet. The goal is one meaningful improvement — more protein, more vegetables, fewer ultra-processed foods. Pick one that's honest for you and focus there. The recipes below are Mediterranean-inspired and designed to make that easier.
Cognitive Reserve explains the why — the science behind what you're doing and why it works. Cognitive Challenge Month 1 is the how — your activity menu, dual-task protocols, and commitment framework. Read the first, then do the second.
Choose one stream or work through both. Stream A is evidence-based and available to everyone. Stream B is Naomi's personal Christian perspective — clearly labelled, completely optional.
Read the content, work through the practices, complete your reflection
One short prompt per week drops in the private Facebook group this month — introducing yourself, sharing your cognitive challenge, your why, and your Month 1 win. Reading what others share is where the real value is.
reMYnd is a prevention program, not a clinical treatment. Exercise recommendations are general in nature — if you have any health conditions or concerns, please consult your GP or allied health professional before beginning. © reMYnd by Naomi Ferstera — remynd.com.au
